Revised Immigration Procedure Fees from April 2025 – Online Applications More Affordable

As of April 1, 2025, the fees for various immigration procedures—such as changing your residence status or renewing your period of stay—have been revised.

While the overall fees have increased slightly compared to previous rates, the revised fee structure introduces differences in fees depending on the method of application. 

In particular, online applications are now less expensive than in-person (counter) applications. This change is part of an initiative to promote more convenient and efficient online procedures.

[Application Receipt Date is Key]

For applications received by March 31, 2025, the previous fee rates will still apply, even if permission or issuance is granted on or after April 1. The fee is determined based on the date the application is received, so those who applied before the cutoff date can proceed under the old fee structure.
